Thanks to all who contributed by making ornaments and decorating our Christmas tree at the Huntsville Main Library. As you can see, the tree looks great. Huntsville Fiber Guild wishes everyone Happy Holidays and endless good fortune in the coming new year.
The Huntsville Fiber Guild is planning to decorate a tree at the Main Library for the month of December.
The tree theme will be stars – woven, crocheted, tatted, knitted, etc. Choose your fiber technique and
make stars to draw attention to our tree. Please send us any patterns or ideas you have for stars made with
the fiber arts.
On Friday November 11, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., come to
the North Alabama Fiber Co-op Studio at #314 Lowe Mill, 2211 Seminole Drive, Huntsville, to help make
Dye three one-yard pieces of cotton fabric with fiber reactive
dyes in one pot as demonstrated by Kathrin Weber in the
September workshop. The cost is $20 for each dyepot and
each participant will take home three yards of coordinated color dyed fabric or you can bring your own fabric/dyepot and just pay $5 for the chemicals for each pot, but your fabric may not turn out like the sample. Dyeing is messy so wear old clothes.
When: Thursday November 10 @ 5:00 p.m.
Where: North Alabama Fiber Co-op Studio #314 Lowe Mill, 2211 Seminole Drive Huntsville
